Order & Disorder
Generally speaking, disorder in your environment is an expression of disorder in your soul. On the other hand, order in your environment can be a cover for the disorder of your soul. Furthermore, disorder in your environment can be an indication that you are bringing order to your soul.
As far as me personally, my environment is slightly disordered, and this is an expression of my soul. However, I am working on my soul, so perhaps greater order in my environment will eventually follow.

As I (and others) continue to maintain…
“A cluttered desk is a sign of a clean mind.“

Kevin – I like the picture of your desk. It looks like a good disorder to me.

There are levels of clutter. My desk at work went from “I know where everything is” to “Where IS everything?” So Friday last, I rearranged it. But it will never be clean.
That’s not true. i was once ordered to clean my desk – so everything was in the drawers; couldn’t find a thing.

That first paragraph sounded like a speech from the movie Team America World Police 🙂

Simon – Yes, but they would have no qualifiers like, “Generally speaking.” So, if they were to make this observation, they would actually make it as an assertion, and it would read, “A disordered environment means a disordered soul.”
Roger – Your stapler is on the left hand side of your desk under a bunch of papers, behind the three books you keep meaning to read.
